São Paulo Complete Tour

Pickup takes place around 9:30 AM or 10:00 AM at the selected meeting point before setting off on a full-day tour of São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil.

The tour begins in the modern districts of Brooklin and Itaim Bibi, known for contemporary architecture, luxury hotels, and major business centers. We also pass by the famous cable-stayed bridge, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

Next, enjoy a stop at Dengo Chocolates, where you’ll have a short guided visit inside the factory store, learning about Brazilian cacao, sustainability, and the chocolate-making process.

Continue to Ibirapuera Park, one of São Paulo’s most important green spaces, with photo stops at landmarks such as the Obelisk and the Bandeiras Monument. From there, visit the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) and go up to its terrace to enjoy panoramic views over the city.

The tour also includes a stop at Batman’s Alley, famous for its colorful and ever-changing street art. Lunch is served at a traditional Brazilian steakhouse with a self-service buffet offering a wide variety of meats, salads, hot and cold dishes, desserts, and vegetarian options.

As the tour moves through downtown São Paulo, we pass by important historical landmarks such as City Hall, the Tea Viaduct, and other emblematic buildings that tell the story of how São Paulo grew from a small village into the largest city in the Southern Hemisphere. We stop at the impressive Sé Cathedral and continue through the Japanese neighborhood, with free time at the lively Municipal Market.

The tour finishes along Paulista Avenue, one of São Paulo’s main cultural and commercial centers. Guests may return to the original meeting points or choose to stay in the area to enjoy the afternoon or easily take a taxi back to their hotels. The tour ends at approximately 4:30 PM.

 Do I pass by or visit all the listed sights in the suggested itinerary?

 The tour should not cover the full itinerary only if there are unexpected issues like traffic jam or other adversities.

 The tour is designed to be dynamic, and cover as many sights as possible so that the tourists have an overview of São Paulo. So there are NOT too many stops in order to try to get the most out of your available time. The guide must pass by the sight and explain a little bit of the history or any curiosity behind it, and drive to the next in the list.

 In this group tour, do all tourists speak the same language?

 We may have to mix a group of tourists who speak two different languages. It may be a group of English and Spanish speakers, or it may be English and Portuguese and so forth. 

 The guide maybe has to speak with the tourists switching between the two different languages.

 What happens if we arrive late to the tour?

 We recommend arriving at the starting location at least 10 minutes before the tour effectively starts. The e-mail confirmation voucher that you receive the day before the tour should state the tour guide’s name and phone number for any unexpected issue. Any late arrivals that the vehicle has already left the meeting point, call us or the guide to arrange to meet the vehicle somewhere in the itinerary. 

 Do children have any discount?

 Children under 5 while sitting on laps and accompanied by a paying adult are free of charge on this tour. Needless to sit on laps if there are seats available. 

 Children aged between 6 and 11 years old pay half the adult’s rate on this tour while accompanied by a paying adult. In order to require the discount, please get in contact with us at info@gregtur.com.

 12-year-olds and older pay the regular adult rate.

 Can I personalize the tour according to what I want to see?

 No. As it’s a group shared tour with other tourists, it can not be personalized.

  Do other tourists join the tour with me? Or is this tour in group? 

 Yes, this tour is open to anyone who wants to join it. 

 By making a booking with Gregtur, you hereby accept to share the vehicle and guide with other tourists who might be join it as well, including minors and people under a disability.

 Do the tours ever get cancelled for weather?

 It's unlikely it rains so much that we are forced to cancel the tour. Most of São Paulo's rain is in the evenings during summertime, so you will find that most tours are very sunny.

 In case of bad whether, just dress appropriately for the conditions and go for it.

 If the weather is bad, your guide will include as many “bad weather” covered stops as possible.

 If for some unexpected reason we are forced to cancel the tour, all reserved guests will be contacted via email and text to be advised properly.

 What happens if I fail to show up? Will I get a refund?

 No, we’re afraid not. If there are extenuating circumstances why you were unable to come, please drop us a line at info@gregtur.com and we will try to find a space for you on a later date, but we cannot guarantee this.

 Can I show up at the designated time and meeting point without booking the tour on the website and join it?

 Yes, you can try to join the tour going at right time at the meeting point without upfront booking, but we cannot guarantee a spot for you. In case there is a spot for joining it, just pay the amount directly to the guide in cash or credit card.

 Can I book the tour and pay on spot to the guide?

 Currently, in order to guarantee the booking, tourists must pay at least 50% the total amount when booking the tour. All credit cards are accepted.

 I bought the tour, but now can’t make that date, can I use it on another day?

 Yes, the booking is valid for 30 days from the date on it has been scheduled. 

 Are there any other costs regarding entrance fees or sites during the tour?

 No, there are NO fees to pay for entering buildings or visiting places of interest during the tour.

 Can I anytime give up on continuing in the tour itinerary with the rest of the group and guide?

 Yes, you can leave the tour anytime you wish. Sometimes, tourists have to leave before the tour finishes or they like so much an attraction that decide to spend more time at a sight or place. In this case, just let the guide knows that you are quitting the tour for some reason. 

 There is no refunds for such cases.

 Does the guide pay their own expenses during the tour?

 The guide’s basic expenses such as meals, drinks and parking lot are paid by themselves on spot. Museums, cultural and some entertaining activities are free of charge for tour guides. 

 What does the tour guide talk about?

 All tour guides have complete knowledge about the city sights, culture, history, and social-economic aspects of São Paulo and Brazil.
